Intensive 7.15 013

The English-Speaking Union and the Folger Shakespeare Library held a workshop for secondary teachers last week.  The program was lead by Gina Voskov, a member of the Folger Library’s National Teacher Corps and an English teacher at the United Nations International School here in the city.  Teachers learned how to make Shakespeare come alive with their students, starting with silent scenes and leading up to full group performances.

You don’t have to take a trip to The Folger Shakespeare Library in Washington, DC this summer to access their collection. Check out Luna, the Folger’s digital image collection.  This database offers access to tens of thousands of images from the library’s extensive collection, including books, theater memorabilia, manuscripts and art.  Check it out here.
