BUSS Program Participants Onstage

Scholarships for Middle and High School NYC Area Teachers:  Summer Study in the United Kingdom

The English-Speaking Union of New York will award two scholarships to an instructor of English, humanities, drama, or history to engage in three weeks of formal study in the British Universities Summer Schools Program at the Universities of Oxford and Edinburgh or Shakespeare’s Globe in London. One scholarship will cover tuition, accommodation and most meals. The other scholarship will provide $1000 towards tuition. International airfare is the responsibility of both teachers. Join us for a FREE interactive workshop exclusively designed for high school teachers whose schools plan to participate in the 2016 ESU New York Shakespeare Competition. Both new and returning educators are welcome to attend the event. The program includes an overview of the Competition in New York City and performance workshops on the Bard’s monologues.
